What we collect and why

• Account details (name, email address, login credentials) — to create and secure your account and contact you about your account. Basis: performance of our contract with you.
• Book content you create (your answers, drafts, uploaded photos, cover and art choices) — to provide the writing, illustration and export features. Basis: performance of our contract.
• Usage records (which AI features you used and how often) — to apply your plan’s monthly allowance, prevent abuse and improve the product. Basis: legitimate interests and performance of our contract.
• Technical data (IP address, device and browser information, error logs) — for security, fraud prevention and troubleshooting. Basis: legitimate interests.
• Support messages and feedback — to answer you and improve the Service. Basis: legitimate interests.
• Marketing emails — only if you ask for them. Basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Who we share it with

• Service providers that host our application and database, deliver email, and provide the AI models that generate drafts and images. They act on our instructions.
• Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for the sale of the product, subscription management, payments, invoicing and tax compliance.
• Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where needed.
• Authorities where we are required to by law.

We do not sell your personal information.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and book content for as long as your account is open, and for up to 12 months afterwards so you can come back and export your work. Usage and technical logs are kept for up to 24 months. Records we must keep for tax or legal reasons are kept for as long as the law requires. After that, information is deleted or anonymised. You can ask us to delete your account and content sooner.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or provide it in a portable format, and you may withdraw consent for marketing at any time. Email bucketlistunlimited@yahoo.com and we will respond within one month. If you are in the UK or EEA you may also complain to your local data protection authority.

International transfers

We are based in the United States and our providers may process data there. Where information moves out of the UK or EEA we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls, and database rules that keep each account’s books and photos private to that account.

Cookies

We use essential cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in and to remember your progress. We do not use advertising cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser, but you will not be able to stay signed in.
